IntenseCart is a complete all-in-one eCommerce & Internet Marketing solution. View our features and pricing plans.

Does IntenseCart charge transaction fees like other companies?
NO. IntenseCart does NOT charge any transaction fees. We don't think you should be penalized for your eCommerce website’s success.

Can I cancel my account at anytime?
Yes, you can cancel at any time. Terms of cancellation depend on your service level agreement and may require an early termination fee (not to exceed one billing cycle).

Note: We strive to satisfy all of our clients. If for any reason your considering cancellation, please reach out to us so we can help resolve any issues. We're fairly flexible, down to earth folks who listen. Keep in mind, we strive on feedback from our clients. What better way to improve your experience and our products?

Can I host IntenseCart on my own?
Since IntenseCart is a proprietary SaaS product, you can not host it your self. We allow full DNS control and allow you to point MX (mail records) and sub-domains where ever you wish. We also allow unlimited domains to be pointed into your main domain (using 301 domain directs). Please contact our support team if you need assistance setting up your domain(s).

If your concerned about ownership, you own ALL of your data. This includes your domain name(s), database (customers, inventory, orders), images, templates and just about everything else except the nuts and bolts of the intenseCart system. If you ever choose to move on from intenseCart, you could be back up and running on another platform within a day.

What is the difference between IntenseCart and other ecommerce companies?
Where do we start? IntenseCart is laser focused on your eCommerce model. We are intimate with each of our clients. We try to avoid doing business with businesses who have little chance of succeeding on the Internet. Your success is our success. After a thorough analysis by our strategic analyst's, including reviewing your marketing and operating financial's (ROI analysis / P&L analysis / Traffic costs / marketing initiatives) we will have a clear picture of what to expect. If we find your business will produce negative cash-flow, chances are you wouldn't want to continue with your current model. This is the true value-add from intenseCart eCommerce. Helping you truly succeed. If this means helping you tweak your business model, we are here for you.

Other companies offering ecommerce packages fall short in quite a number of areas. They are not at all focused on your success, just your money for their monthly subscriptions. Often these companies are just trying to get as many people as they can. To them your just a number. Don't expect pride of ownership, innovation, intimate support or consultations with these types of companies. With IntenseCart you get all of these things, plus a powerful platform, enterprise level hosting, security, performance and reliability.

How do I accept payments with IntenseCart?
There are many options to choose from for payment processing. Options range from setting up a Merchant account and payment-gateway (such as Authorize.net) and/or using Google Checkout or PayPal.

Non-Monthly Fee Payment Processors (Your customers will leave your site to complete their purchase)
PayPal and Google Checkout are the two most popular non-monthly fee payment processing methods on the market. With PayPal, for the non-monthly fee type of processing, you will need to use PayPal Standard or PayPal Express. Google Checkout also provides non-monthly fee processing. Both of these companies process the credit cards for you on their end, so you'll never have to handle credit card numbers directly or worry about credit card security. Like any of the payment processing companies, they charge transaction fees for processing your orders. Google Checkout tries to maintain the lowest processing fees on the market while enhancing this deal with credits for every dollar processed allocated to your Adwords (Pay-Per-Click) balance. You also receive Google Checkout's Merchant fraud protection, which covers 98% of your transactions! - when an order is guaranteed, you get paid even if it results in a charge-back. Wow! But keep in mind, Google's brand is plastered over every stage of your checkout process, which may conflict with your Branding.

Monthly Fee Payment Processors (Seamless checkout process - customers never leave your site)
Looking for a solution where your customers never leave your site to process payments? Then you will need a merchant account and a payment gateway. The merchant account is usually a third party bank who will deposit funds into your main business bank account (like direct deposit). Popular merchant banks are First American, Chase, BofA and many others. Popular payment gateways include Authorize.net, GoeMerchant, PayPal Website Payments Pro etc. Each of these methods will charge you monthly statement fees and a normal transaction fee. You will need to setup an individual account for Visa, MasterCard, American Express and/or Discover with your payment gateway if you wish to process these methods. The transaction fees can vary from 1.7% to 3.5% depending on the card type. The benefit of these providers is the transparent checkout experience for your customers since they never leave your website.

Using both types of payment methods:
You can use PayPal and/or Google Checkout along side your transparent processing method. For example, some store owners use PayPal Standard in conjunction with Authorize.net. This gives customers the flexibility on choosing a payment method, such as using existing funds in their PayPal account, or using their credit card as normal and checking out directly from your site.

Can I accept payments besides Credit Cards?
IntenseCart supports payments besides credit cards including E-Checks and Purchase orders.

What is an SSL certificate? Do I need this?
Yes you will need an SSL certificate to process credit cards and/or e-checks on the internet. SSL is an acronym for Secure Socket Layer. Without getting too technical, it is required to encrypt or protect your sensitive financial data (such as credit card numbers) when processing credit cards or e-checks. IntenseCart provides every client with a 128-bit level intenseSSL certificate for every intenseCart subscription. We also allow importing of existing SSL certificates (such as VeriSign™).

Can I attain top rankings on the search engines using IntenseCart?
IntenseCart is built with search engines and cross browser compatibility in mind. Our platform automatically converts your catalog and information pages to search engine friendly HTML pages using your page, product and category names. There is also a Meta-data manager to customize your Titles, Meta-descriptions and keywords at every level, allowing for maximum search engine penetration.
